About

I am a postgraduate student in the Integrated Masters programme at IIT Madras, where I’ve had the pleasure of immersing myself in English Studies—delving into literary theory, dissecting language, and occasionally sparking debates about whether hip-hop lyrics qualify as modern poetry (I’m firmly in the “yes” camp).

My academic journey is fueled by a deep fascination with urban culture, especially how city spaces shape the sound and soul of hip-hop music. I’m currently researching the ways in which the urban environment—from concrete jungles to bustling streets and vibrant subcultures—imbues hip-hop with its unique grit and attitude. I like to joke that the city itself is a co-author of every great hip-hop track, though I sometimes wonder porotta and beef fry in Kottayam should get a mention too.

Outside of my scholarly pursuits, I’m a passionate sports enthusiast who finds joy and balance on the cricket pitch and football field. And, in case you were wondering, I’m also in the process of building a personal website to showcase my writing—exploring free domain options and looking forward to sharing my academic insights, urban explorations, and a dash of my signature wit with the world
